Israel’s Defense Minister Asserts Ongoing Conflict with Iran

Tel aviv: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the war against Iran is 'far from over,' emphasizing that Israel's military is ready to strike Iranian targets with 'great force.' His comments were made in response to recent developments in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Katz's remarks followed US President Donald Trump's declaration that Washington will continue to impose significant pressure on Iran. This follows the downing of a US Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz, which escalated tension between the involved nations.

Katz mentioned that the regional landscape is experiencing significant changes, as evidenced by recent events. He warned that any Iranian attack on Israel would lead to a severe response, referencing recent exchanges between the two countries.

The region has been tense since US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran in late February led to Iranian retaliation. Although a temporary ceasefire was agreed upon on April 8, negotiations have stalled due to disagreements over its implementation and further regional developments.
