Italian Ambassador Highlights Strong Space Collaboration with Turkey

Ankara:Italy's Ambassador to Turkey, Giuseppe Manzo, has praised the collaboration between Italy and Turkey in the space sector, emphasizing its significance and strength.

According to Anadolu Agency, Manzo highlighted the role of the Italian Trade Agency as one of the official sponsors of the 77th International Astronautical Congress, organized by the International Astronautical Federation. He cited the GOKTURK-1 project as a key example of the enduring partnership between the two countries in space endeavors.

Manzo also mentioned that Italian and Turkish astronauts have cooperated on Axiom Mission 3, reflecting the long-standing relationship between the two nations in space activities. He noted the participation of 26 companies in the congress as evidence of the robust bilateral cooperation in the space industry.

The ambassador stressed that space research and its related industries have direct impacts on sectors such as health, energy, and security, making the partnership between Turkey and Italy a natural one. He added that the collaboration is comprehensive, involving space agencies, astronauts, and government efforts from both countries. Manzo extended an invitation to the congress, encouraging people to engage with the advancements in space.
