ISTANBUL: Italy's women's volleyball team claimed a straight-sets victory over the Netherlands in the Pool C of the Paris 2024 Olympics Thursday. Italy won Game 2 with sets of 29-27, 25-18, 25-19 at South Paris Arena 1. Ekaterina Antropova of Italy was the highest scorer of the game with 33 points and Nika Daalderop produced 13 points for the Dutch national team. With the victory, Italy collected six points and are guaranteed in the quarterfinals, as well as second-placed Trkiye. Italy's next match will be against Trkiye on Aug. 4 to decide the pool winner.
