Rome: Italy and Ukraine are set to co-host the 'Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine' (URC2025) on July 10-11, as announced by the Italian Foreign Ministry. The event, taking place at Rome's La Nuvola Convention Center, aims to gather around 5,000 participants from across the globe to discuss the recovery, reconstruction, and modernization of Ukraine.

According to Anadolu Agency, the conference will bring together approximately 100 government delegations, 40 international organizations, including major development banks, 2,000 companies, local authorities, civil society representatives, and over 500 accredited journalists. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is scheduled to welcome heads of state and government on Thursday morning. Following a family photo with delegation leaders, she will officially open the plenary session at 10:30 am local time with an address.

The Italian Foreign Ministry highlighted that the conference will concentrate on four main areas: business, humanitarian, local and regional recovery, and reforms in Ukraine's EU accession process. Additionally, the event will address a significant cultural dimension with a focus on heritage protection in conflict zones.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will lead the 'Ukraine Donors Conference' at 8:30 am local time, a session dedicated to funding Ukraine's recovery. He will also initiate the Ukraine Recovery Forum, which will feature several thematic panels. Tajani is expected to meet with major Italian companies participating in the conference and conduct a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also arrived in Rome to participate in the conference.
