Karmod Completes Worker Housing Facility for Factory in Trkiye’s Bolu Province

Bolu: Turkish modular building manufacturer Karmod announced on Wednesday the completion of a container-based worker accommodation facility for a food production factory in Bolu's Mudurnu district. The facility will house 192 employees and is designed to address housing challenges faced by manufacturing plants in rural areas.

According to Anadolu Agency, Karmod Container General Manager Ensar Cankaya highlighted that the company offers ergonomically designed container accommodation solutions, particularly beneficial for facilities employing seasonal workers. Cankaya noted that investors have been struggling with housing workers due to the scarcity of rental homes and high rental costs near factory sites.

Cankaya stated that Karmod's container structures are specially designed for factory worker accommodation, providing ergonomically optimized housing solutions. He emphasized that the company's projects eliminate issues such as rental housing availability, rent payments, and transportation arrangements, offering multiple benefits to both employers and employees.

Karmod's worker container housing units are designed for family living and can be structured as blocks up to four stories high. Cankaya explained that individual worker accommodation rooms are arranged sequentially on each floor, with options for private or shared toilet and shower facilities. The company also offers models allowing employees to stay with their families, a preference for food factories and production farms in rural locations.

Cankaya added that the recently completed facility for the food production plant includes a two-story accommodation building, capable of housing 192 employees at once, further underscoring the company's commitment to providing efficient and practical housing solutions for industrial workers.
