The King of Jordan has referred to the multidimensional and cordial ties with Cyprus stating that he is looking forward to his next visit to the island before the end of this year. According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sevak Avetisian, presented his credentials to the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein on August 27, 2024, in an official ceremony held at Basman Palace in Amman. In the conversation that followed, the King of Jordan conveyed his warm greetings to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and referred to the cordial and multidimensional relations between the two countries. In this context, he underlined that he is looking forward to his next visit to Cyprus before the end of this year. He also referred to the situation in the Middle East and Jordan's efforts to reach a solution, but also to address the enormous humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip. The Cyp riot Ambassador conveyed the heartfelt greetings of President Christodoulides to the Jordanian King, and underlined the will of the Cypriot government to further strengthen and deepen relations and cooperation between the two countries both bilaterally and within the framework of tripartite cooperation with Greece.
