?he King of Jordan, Abdullah II, is to attend the MED9 leaders Summit next week, according to Cyprus' Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna. Raouna, during her speech after the end of the MED9 Ministers and Deputy Ministers of European Affairs Summit, in Nicosia City Hall, said that during next week's Summit, the MED9 leaders will focus on regional developments. She added that the King of Jordan 'will be attending the summit both to discuss the situation in the Middle East, as well as EU-Jordan relations'. Cyprus holds the 2024 Presidency of the MED9 group, which consists of the nine Mediterranean member states of the EU (Cyprus, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Malta, Portugal and Slovenia).
