Kremlin Confirms Work on Trilateral Meeting Between Putin, Trump, and Xi in China

Shenzhen:Moscow The Kremlin has announced ongoing efforts to organize a trilateral meeting involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and U.S. President Donald Trump later this month. The meeting is being planned to coincide with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Shenzhen, China, scheduled for November 18-19.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that discussions are underway among Moscow, Washington, and Beijing to facilitate this high-level meeting. The report highlighted that while the Chinese Foreign Ministry has acknowledged communication with the relevant parties for a meeting between President Xi and President Putin, there has been no official mention of a trilateral summit including President Trump.

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov mentioned that the possibility of such a meeting on the sidelines of the APEC summit has not been dismissed by any party.

Ushakov also reported that the topic of the meeting, which has generated significant global interest, was addressed during discussions with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg on October 21. Meanwhile, Peskov indicated that President Putin's schedule for the APEC summit is still being finalized, with no definitive details yet on a potential trilateral meeting.
