Moscow:Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently in a state of 'hysteria' and unable to make "considered actions," suggesting this incapability is hindering peace negotiations with Russia.
According to Anadolu Agency, Peskov remarked that if Zelenskyy could take measured actions, he would demonstrate a willingness to engage in peace talks. Instead, Peskov accused him of seeking more financial support from international backers for air defense, long-range weapons, and access to Starlink infrastructure for attacks within Russia.
Peskov also criticized Zelenskyy's aggressive stance toward Russia, calling it a 'tragic mistake' that comes with consequences, implying that Ukraine is paying for this approach.
These comments followed a phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin about diesel fuel supplies to the US and global markets. Trump announced on Truth Social that Russia agreed to supply over 300,000 tons of diesel fuel immediately, with further shipments planned.
Zelenskyy, however, condemned the US-Russia diesel agreement, arguing that additional funds for Moscow could bolster its military capabilities. He urged international partners to limit Russia's war-waging capacity.
On a related note, Trump suggested Ukraine should consider new leadership, criticizing Zelenskyy for not securing a peace deal with Russia.
