Kremlin Monitors ‘Coalition of the Willing’ Meeting on Ukraine

Moscow: The Kremlin announced that it will closely monitor the "coalition of the willing" meeting on Ukraine, scheduled to take place in Paris later today. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, during a press briefing, noted that these countries are perceived as committing hostile acts against Russia.

According to Anadolu Agency, Peskov argued that the countries participating in the summit are deceiving themselves with the notion that they can achieve a strategic defeat over Russia. He characterized the upcoming meeting as a "coalition of warmongers," asserting that the group does not seek peace but rather the continuation of the conflict.

The meeting in Paris is expected to include discussions on military capabilities, industrial cooperation, and efforts to counter Russia's shadow fleet, as stated by French President Emmanuel Macron. Macron emphasized the importance of aiding Ukraine, noting that the security and freedom of the European continent are intertwined with the current events in Ukraine.

The 37-country initiative, launched in March 2025 under the leadership of the UK and France, is focused on supporting a potential peace agreement in Ukraine.
