Kremlin Responds to US Missile Base Opening in Poland.

Moscow: The Kremlin announced that Russia plans to implement measures in reaction to the inauguration of a US missile base in Poland. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov revealed this stance to reporters, indicating that the establishment of the base necessitates actions to maintain strategic balance and parity. According to Anadolu Agency, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced via a video on his ministry's X account that the US missile defense base will become operational on November 13 in Redzikowo, a town located near Poland's Baltic coast. Sikorski noted that the initiative for the base started during President George W. Bush's administration, and its completion underscores the United States' consistent geostrategic approach. Peskov highlighted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had opposed the plan since the early 2000s. The Kremlin spokesperson asserted that the primary objective of establishing the base is to "militarily contain" Russia's potential capabilities.
