People's Democratic Party Executive Committee member Dogan Erbas was arrested on June 13 after the finalization of a verdict against him. He was not allowed to attend his mother's funeral yesterday, or the offering of condolences that followed, due to lack of a timely prosecutorial decision. Dogan Erbas, the imprisoned Executive Committee Member of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) was kept from attending his mother's funeral when a timely prosecutorial decision was not given.
Erbas was arrested on June 13 after the finalization of a court decision sentencing him to imprisonment; and his mother, Hanim Erbas passed away on the evening of July 5.
Green Left Party Siirt MP Tuncer Bakirhan and Ceylan Akça, the Diyarbakir MP of the same party attended Hanim Erbas's funeral besides a large number of people.

Istanbul 14th Heavy Penal Court sentenced Dogan Erbas to 12 years of imprisonment for "being a member of an organization," and 1 year 21 months and 22 days of imprisonment for "propaganda of an organization."
Erbas was arrested on June 13 after the verdict was validated and sent to the Sincan Prison
