Kuwait city: Kuwait's National Guard announced on Monday that seven drones were shot down over the past 24 hours after they violated the country's airspace. The spokesperson for the National Guard stated during a media briefing that the drones were detected and addressed "in accordance with approved security procedures."

According to Anadolu Agency, the spokesperson further noted that radiation readings in Kuwait's airspace and territorial waters remain normal. The spokesperson emphasized that relevant authorities continue to monitor developments closely and are taking necessary measures to ensure the country's security.

The Government Communication Center provided additional details in a statement, explaining that one of the drones was intercepted, another fell "outside the threat area," and two others crashed in the country's north without causing injuries or damage. The statement also indicated that two unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down "within areas of responsibility," but did not provide further details.

The statement highlighted that authorities received five reports of falling debris following the interception operations, increasing the total number of such reports to 397 since the escalation began on February 28. This regional escalation has been ongoing since the United States and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on February 28, resulting in approximately 1,200 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Tehran has conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, which it accuses of hosting "US military assets." Some of these attacks have resulted in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including airports, ports, and buildings.
