Kuwait Intercepts Missiles and Drones Amid Escalating US-Iran Conflict

Kuwait city: Kuwait announced that its air defenses successfully intercepted missiles and drones on Thursday evening as tensions in the region intensified following a US-Israeli attack on Iran. A military statement confirmed that explosions heard in various areas across the country were the result of these interception operations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the statement did not clarify the origin of the projectiles. Since February 28, Iran has launched missiles and drones targeting Israel and Gulf countries where US military assets are located. These attacks have resulted in casualties and damage to civilian sites, including ports and residential buildings.

Tehran claims these attacks are retaliatory actions in response to a US-Israeli military campaign against Iran, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
