Kuwait Responds to New Wave of Missile, Drone Attacks

Kuwait city: Kuwait announced that its air defenses are actively countering a fresh series of drone and missile attacks described as "hostile." The Kuwaiti Armed Forces communicated via the U.S. social media platform X that any explosions heard are due to the interception of these hostile targets by their air defense systems. They also urged the public to adhere to the security and safety guidelines provided by the relevant authorities.

According to Anadolu Agency, the hostilities in the region have intensified following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran that commenced on February 28. In retaliation, Tehran has been launching repeated drone and missile strikes, targeting both Israel and Gulf nations that host U.S. military installations. The ongoing conflict has heightened tensions and prompted swift defensive measures from affected nations, including Kuwait.
