Kuwait's Army General Staff stated that the country's air defenses were confronting "hostile missile and drone attacks," emphasizing that the sounds of explosions heard were due to successful interceptions. Shortly after, Kuwait announced that its forces were dealing with a second wave of attacks.

According to Anadolu Agency, the UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority reported that its air defense systems were also responding to a missile threat. Both nations have urged residents to stay in safe locations and adhere to official guidance. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that all air interception operations in the emirate had been completed without any injuries.

The backdrop of these events includes US-Israeli strikes on Iran that commenced on February 28, resulting in approximately 1,300 casualties, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets throughout the military campaign.
