Beirut: The Lebanese parliament has approved a two-year extension of its current mandate, as reported by Lebanese media on Monday. The decision was made during a session of the General Assembly of Lebanon's House of Representatives.

According to Anadolu Agency, the extension was passed with a majority of 76 votes in favor. Meanwhile, 41 deputies voted against the extension, and four deputies abstained from the voting process. This decision comes amidst ongoing political challenges within the country, with the extension allowing the current parliament to continue its legislative functions for an additional two years.
