Beirut: Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt on Sunday urged Syria’s Druze community to remain vigilant against Israeli ‘plots.’
According to Anadolu Agency, the former head of the Progressive Socialist Party emphasized the importance of caution, stating, “The free people of Jabal al-Arab must beware of Israel’s schemes in Syria,” during a news conference in the Lebanese capital Beirut. Jumblatt expressed concerns over a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing Arab national security.
Jumblatt also announced his intentions to visit Syria to engage in discussions about ongoing developments in the region. “I have requested a meeting with (Syrian President) Ahmed al-Sharaa for next week,” he revealed, signaling his commitment to addressing these pressing issues with Syrian leadership.
