Moscow: Lebanon has expressed its intention to establish cooperative relations with Iran, emphasizing a foundation built on mutual respect. This development comes amid ongoing geopolitical discussions and alignments in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Moscow has yet to receive an official response from Kyiv concerning its proposal to form three working groups, which was suggested during talks in Istanbul last month. Alexey Fadeyev, deputy director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department, stated that while formal feedback is still pending, discussions continue informally. "We expect that the groups will be formed and will begin practical work as soon as possible," Fadeyev noted.

The third round of discussions between Russian and Ukrainian delegates took place at Istanbul's Ciragan Palace in late July, lasting approximately an hour. During these talks, Russia proposed that Ukraine create three online working groups to facilitate the negotiation process.

Russian presidential aide and delegation head Vladimir Medinsky indicated that despite ongoing discussions, significant differences remain between the two nations regarding the draft memorandums for a potential settlement. Medinsky emphasized that a direct meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine would be crucial to resolve these discrepancies and move forward effectively.
