Live broadcast of Olympic Games opening ceremony at Molos in Limassol

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games 2024 will be broadcast live tonight at the Molos in Limassol. According to a press release by the Embassy of France in Cyprus, the French Institute of Cyprus and the Alliance Française Limassol, the event, which is free to the public is organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Limassol. Lina Kassianidou, Deputy Minister for Culture, Salina Grenet-Catalano, Ambassador of France in Cyprus and Yiannis Armeftis, Mayor of Lemesos will attend the event. It is added that the opening ceremony at 20:30 will be preceded by music and speeches starting around 19:45. The broadcast will be in Greek by CyBC, with English subtitles. 'The broadcast will allow attendees to immerse themselves in the spectacular festivities of the Olympic Opening Ceremony in Paris, in real time' the press release reads, adding that 'we invite families, sports enthusiasts, and the wider community to come together and share this momentous occasion'.
