London: French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Saturday his plans to travel to London for significant discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This meeting aims to evaluate the ongoing situation in Ukraine and to further negotiations currently under the mediation of the United States.

According to Anadolu Agency, Macron condemned recent Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy and railway infrastructure. He warned that these actions indicate Moscow's continued escalation and lack of interest in peace. Macron called for sustained pressure on Russia to encourage it to pursue peace.

The upcoming meeting in London, scheduled for Monday, will focus on the latest battlefield developments and diplomatic initiatives under the 'Coalition of the Willing.' This group, which includes several countries, is coordinating support for Kyiv in collaboration with the US. Macron reassured that Ukraine has the unwavering support of France and its partners and highlighted ongoing efforts with the US to establish security guarantees for Kyiv.

Macron emphasized the broader implications of the conflict, stating that the security of Europe as a whole is at stake in Ukraine. He underscored that a robust and lasting peace in Ukraine requires these security assurances.
