ISTANBUL: Mastercard is planning to lower its global workforce by 3%, according to media reports Friday. The US-based multinational payment card services company had around 33,400 employees worldwide by the end of 2023, according to its latest annual financial report. Of those, approximately 67% were located outside of the US in more than 80 countries. The move is estimated to affect 1,000 employees.
