Tel aviv: Seven people were injured after missile shrapnel fell in central and northern Israel following a barrage of Iranian launches, according to Israeli media reports Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that all injuries were 'light,' with five people sustaining injuries in Kafr Qasim and another person injured in Sha'ar Shomron in central Israel. The incident resulted in significant damage, as footage from Kafr Qasim showed a hole in the road and cars overturned from the force of the strike.

Channel 12 reported that in the northern Israeli city of Haifa, one person was injured and a building was directly hit following Iranian missile fire. Earlier, Israeli media detailed that several individuals were injured, and a building was damaged in the Kafr Qasim area due to the missile barrage.

Sirens warning of missile and rocket fire were activated across central Israel, the Jerusalem area, and parts of the occupied West Bank. Additional alerts were sounded in northern areas, including the Golan Heights towns of Ortal and Ein Zivan, as well as in the Galilee Panhandle settlements of Gonen, Lehavot HaBashan, and Shamir.

The report suggested the latest barrage included a cluster missile, with loud explosions being heard in Jerusalem and the Sharon region. The entire region has been on alert since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, resulting in the deaths of over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
