MP Hadjiyianni attends 30th annual session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

The works of the 30th annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) continued in Vancouver, Canada, with the participation of Cypriot MP Kyriakos Hadjiyianni, a statement from the parliament says.

Hadjiyianni, Special Representative of the Assembly for Civil Society Participation issues, in his intervention in a session of the Plenary, stated that the international community is witnessing the continuation of the blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and other violations of the international law.

He pointed out that under the current conditions, the start of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine becomes impossible. Referring to the humanitarian consequences of the war, the Cypriot MP underlined the necessity of continuing to provide support to the Ukrainian people.

At the same time, he expressed concern over the risks arising for regional and global security from Russia's decision to suspend the nuclear arms limitation agreement.
