Moscow: India's top security advisor revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit India at the end of 2025. This announcement came during a meeting in Moscow with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoygu.

According to Anadolu Agency, Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval expressed his pleasure upon learning about President Putin's planned visit. He emphasized the significance of the visit, stating that it would set new directions for development and result in substantial outcomes from the negotiations.

Doval further highlighted the robust relationship between Russia and India, noting that both countries engage at a high level, and their interactions contribute to strengthening bilateral ties. During his Moscow visit, Doval mentioned that the specific dates for Putin's visit are still being finalized, as per sources within the Indian government.

The sources also clarified that no precise date or time had been decided, refuting earlier reports suggesting that Putin would visit India by the end of August. As of this report, there has been no official confirmation regarding the visit from Moscow or New Delhi.

Doval's trip to Moscow comes amid rising tensions, as the United States has increased tariffs to 50% on New Delhi over its purchase of Russian oil.
