Nine Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strikes in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations

Gaza: Nine Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on the eve of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, marking a significant escalation amid ongoing violations of a ceasefire agreement.

According to Anadolu Agency, the strikes targeted multiple locations, including a residential building with shops, the roof of another residential building in Gaza City's busiest commercial area, a civilian vehicle, and a gathering of civilians in central and southern Gaza. The latest attack in the southern Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City resulted in three deaths, including a woman, and injured 20 others. Witnesses reported that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles, causing widespread destruction.

Further reports indicate that five Palestinians sustained injuries from a strike on the roof of a residential building in the Rimal neighborhood. Earlier, two Palestinians were killed, and several were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle west of Khan Younis. The victims' bodies arrived at Nasser Medical Complex severely burned and unidentifiable. Witnesses specified that the target was a civilian Hyundai Tucson vehicle near the Abu Alaa roundabout in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

In another incident, four Palestinians lost their lives in an Israeli strike targeting a civilian gathering east of the Maghazi refugee camp. Medical sources confirmed that the bodies and several wounded individuals were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Additionally, at dawn, an Israeli army fire injured a Palestinian woman in the Turkish slaughterhouse area of Khan Younis, with subsequent reports announcing the death of a 14-year-old girl from an earlier strike.

The Health Ministry of Gaza reports that these ongoing ceasefire violations have resulted in 906 Palestinian deaths and 2,747 injuries since last October. Israel's offensive over the past two years has claimed over 72,000 lives and injured more than 172,000 people, leading to severe damage to 90% of Gaza's civilian infrastructure.
