Gaza city: Nine Palestinians, including four from the same family, were killed on Thursday in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, despite a ceasefire, medical sources told Anadolu. The casualties were reported following strikes that hit various locations in Gaza, causing injuries and destruction.
According to Anadolu Agency, the four bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City after a strike targeted a house belonging to the Ahmed family in Beit Lahia Project. Several other individuals sustained injuries, and many remain missing under the rubble, the source added.
Meanwhile, several injured individuals were transported to Al-Shifa Hospital early Thursday after Israeli military vehicles and a drone opened fire on shelters and tents housing the displaced in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, as reported by WAFA news agency. Additionally, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike near Kamal Adwan Hospital within the camp.
A medical source at Nasser Hospital reported to Anadolu that Farid Abu Hadaf, 36, succumbed to serious wounds sustained during an Israeli strike that targeted a gathering of civilians in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. The Palestinian Civil Defense stated that the bodies of three Palestinians were taken to the morgue at Nasser Medical Complex following the Israeli strike in the same area, which also injured five others.
In a separate incident, a 33-year-old Palestinian died from severe injuries after an Israeli strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Hamad City, Khan Younis, as confirmed by a medical source at Nasser Medical Complex. Eyewitnesses recounted that an Israeli drone struck the vehicle, igniting it and several nearby tents for displaced people.
Furthermore, three Palestinians, including two children, were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians in Khan Younis refugee camp, according to a medical source. In central Gaza, an Israeli strike on the courtyard of the Al-Haq Mosque west of the Nuseirat refugee camp resulted in moderate injuries to two Palestinians, including a woman.
In another incident, four Palestinians were injured, one critically, when an Israeli drone struck a gathering near the Al-Daraj Club in Gaza City, medical sources reported. Separately, Israeli naval vessels fired heavily in the waters off Khan Younis and in areas east of the central Gaza Strip.
These attacks represent the latest violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025. Gaza's Health Ministry noted in a separate update that hospitals have received one body and 30 injured individuals in the last 24 hours due to Israeli attacks. It remains unclear whether the death reported by the ministry is among the nine killed on Thursday.
The ministry further reported that since the ceasefire took effect, the death toll has risen to 1,359, with 4,571 injured. Additionally, 831 bodies have been recovered during this period. The overall death toll since the start of Israel's genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,670, with 174,682 injured, according to the ministry. Several victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams face challenges in reaching them.
