Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that the unresolved Iranian nuclear issue poses challenges to the global community during a conversation with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi. Wang stated that the "current stalemate in the political settlement process" is not aligning with the "common interests of the international community," as per a statement by the Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Wang expressed China's appreciation for Iran's commitment to not developing nuclear weapons and supported Iran's right to use nuclear energy peacefully. He urged all involved parties to continue dialogue and communication to return the Iranian nuclear issue to the path of negotiation.

Araghchi acknowledged China's "just position" and positive contributions to the Iranian nuclear issue, expressing Iran's willingness to enhance communication and coordination with all parties based on equality and mutual benefit.

Wang also highlighted China's readiness to collaborate with Iran to implement agreements made by the countries' heads of state, aiming to promote development, deepen cooperation, and elevate their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Araghchi reiterated the importance of Iran's relationship with China, citing the upcoming 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to enhance high-level exchanges, explore cooperation opportunities, and maintain mutual support.
