Bodo: Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt has announced its decision to donate the ticket revenues from their UEFA Europa League match against Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv, held on January 23, to humanitarian aid in Gaza. The club highlighted its commitment to addressing global suffering and violations of international law through this initiative. According to Anadolu Agency, Bodo/Glimt stated in an official release on Saturday that all ordinary ticket revenues from the home game, amounting to NOK 735,000 ($65,000), will be donated to the Red Cross to support aid efforts in the Gaza Strip. This gesture is a collective contribution from the club and its supporters. In the match, Bodo/Glimt secured a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv, placing them ninth with 14 points in the standings. The club's donation reflects Norway's broader stance on international issues, as the country, alongside Spain and Ireland, recognized the state of Palestine in May 2024.
