Oman Says 2 Drones Shot Down, Another Crashes Near Salalah Port

Ankara: Oman said Tuesday that two drones were intercepted in the Dhofar Governorate in the country's south and a third crashed near Salalah Port, state media reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Oman News Agency, citing a security source, stated that no casualties or material damage were reported in the attack. Oman affirmed its condemnation and denunciation of the targeting operations and announced its intention to take all necessary measures to preserve the security of the country.

The development comes amid ongoing tensions as the US and Israel conducted a large-scale attack on Iran on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and top military officials. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries with US assets.
