Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi stated that the discussions mediated by Muscat between Iran and the United States were 'very serious,' focusing on clarifying positions and identifying areas for potential progress.
According to Anadolu Agency, Albusaidi shared on the social media platform X that the talks were instrumental in outlining the thinking of both Iranian and American sides. He also mentioned that the parties aim to reconvene in the future to further assess the outcomes in Tehran and Washington.
The diplomatic engagement between Iran and the US resumed on Friday amid heightened tensions. This follows US President Donald Trump's threat of military action, which added urgency to the indirect nuclear diplomacy efforts.
