Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand held discussions on the Mecca Defense Agreement, a collaborative initiative involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Trkiye. The talks also covered significant regional developments, as reported by Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Mecca Defense Agreement, highlighted during the meeting, embodies the commitment of the three involved nations to bolster regional peace, stability, and security. The discussions between Dar and Anand also navigated the complex dynamics involving the United States and Iran.

Additionally, Foreign Minister Dar brought attention to the situation in occupied East Jerusalem. This included dialogue about a recent ministerial meeting on Jerusalem held in Jordan, emphasizing ongoing concerns in the region.
