Ankara: Pakistani security forces: Pakistani security forces killed at least four militants in retaliatory fire after attackers targeted a police training center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, officials told Anadolu. Militants attacked the police training center in Dera Ismail Khan district, and some of them managed to enter the facility but police engaged them, a police official told Anadolu over the phone.

According to Anadolu Agency, a second official stated it was a suicide attack, with the assailants ramming an explosive-laden vehicle into the main entrance. Additional police contingents and army troops arrived at the scene to respond to the situation, the official said, adding that initial reports indicated four militants were eliminated, and there were reports of a police personnel also being killed.

He said the security forces have "completely cordoned off the area."
