Pakistani Foreign Minister and EU Council President Discuss Strengthening Ties in Brussels

Brussels: Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met President of the EU Council Antonio Costa in Brussels on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the current positive direction of the Pakistan-EU relationship and agreed to enhance their partnership across various domains.

According to Anadolu Agency, Dar acknowledged the EU's support for Pakistan on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. The delegations discussed mutual interests, including the Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP Plus), trade and economic cooperation expansion, and regional and global security developments. They reiterated their commitment to multilateralism.

Both leaders pledged to collaborate on promoting shared priorities and strengthening cooperation in essential sectors, aiming to build upon the existing foundation of their relationship.
