Pakistan: Pakistan's army announced it had eliminated five militants during a counterterrorism operation in the southwestern province of Balochistan.

According to Anadolu Agency, the operation took place on Monday in the Panjgur district and was based on intelligence reports, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army. During the operation, security forces also recovered and destroyed a cache of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

In recent months, Pakistan has experienced an uptick in militant attacks, with Balochistan and northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province being particularly affected by such incidents.
