NEW ORLEANS: A pickup truck attack in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, has resulted in the deaths of 15 people, New Orleans Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna confirmed. The incident occurred in the French Quarter, a bustling area known for its vibrant nightlife and popularity with tourists, especially during the holiday season. According to Anadolu Agency, the attack took place at approximately 3:15 a.m. local time on Wednesday, when a pickup truck plowed through crowds gathered in the area. In addition to the fatalities, 35 people were reported injured. Dr. McKenna stated that autopsies would take several days, and the identities of the victims would be released after consultations with their families.
