Poland’s Birth Rate Set to Decline Further in Coming Years: Report

Poland: Poland's birth rate is set to decline further in the coming years at a pace not previously projected, broadcaster TVP World reported Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the latest data from Statistics Poland (GUS) indicates that the country's birth rate is declining several years earlier than expected. GUS revealed that the total number of births from December 2024 to November 2025 was 238,700, marking the first time births have fallen below 240,000.

In its Population Forecast for 2023-2060, GUS had initially projected that annual births would decline to 236,800. The statistical office also predicted that Poland's population, currently around 37 million, will decrease to about 36.6 million by 2030, 35.3 million by 2040, and 32.5 million by 2060.
