Warsaw: Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced on Thursday that up to 400,000 people are expected to take part in a new voluntary military training program next year.

According to Anadolu Agency, the government unveiled the new military training program, named Readiness, during a news conference. The program is set to launch this month, with a pilot version starting on November 22, as reported by broadcaster TVP World.

The initial phase will allow participants to enroll in courses focusing on basic safety, survival, first aid, and cybersecurity. The comprehensive program aims to equip citizens with skills to effectively respond to crisis situations and will commence fully next year.

Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted the intensive efforts over the past six months in developing this initiative, describing it as the largest program of universal, voluntary defense training in Polish history.
