Kyiv: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Thursday arrived in Ukraine's capital Kyiv where he is due to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Anadolu Agency, Tusk's visit to Kyiv was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who greeted the Polish premier upon his arrival and described the visit as 'important.' Sybiha emphasized Poland's role in supporting Ukraine, particularly in energy assistance, highlighting the solidarity and strategic partnership between the two nations.

Sybiha mentioned that the Ukrainian side looked forward to a visit with significant impact and meaningful discussions between Tusk and Zelenskyy. Tusk had previously announced his visit earlier in the week, following an invitation from the Ukrainian president.

Tusk expressed his support for Ukraine in a social media post, stating that Ukraine should not be left alone during this critical time. The country is currently facing a state of emergency in its energy sector due to Russian strikes and extreme winter weather conditions.
