He expressed deep concern over the situation in Gaza, where the cries of parents mourning their children and searching for basic necessities amidst ongoing bombardments continue to rise. The death toll in Gaza has reached 54,084 on the 600th day of Israel's war since October 2023.

Pope Leo also focused on the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing the impact of recent attacks on civilians and infrastructure. He urged an end to hostilities and encouraged efforts for dialogue and peace.
