President Erdogan Urges Islamic World to Embrace Unity and Brotherhood Amid Challenges

Ankara: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday called on the Islamic world to embrace unity and "hold tightly to our brotherhood" regardless of the ethnic differences.

According to Anadolu Agency, the president made these remarks at a Quran recitation competition awards ceremony in the capital Ankara. He emphasized the need for unity among diverse ethnic groups such as Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Persians, Asians, Africans, Blacks, and Whites within the Islamic world.

Erdogan highlighted the importance of unity to address global challenges, establish justice, and alleviate the suffering of oppressed communities. He referenced the recent attacks by Israel on Gaza, which violated a ceasefire agreement, as a pressing issue requiring collective action.

The president criticized the Western powers for their silence, which he suggested has emboldened Israel to continue its aggressive actions. Erdogan reaffirmed Trkiye's commitment to taking necessary steps to end the oppression and violence in Gaza promptly.
