Bushehr: A projectile struck the site of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in southern Iran, Iranian media reported Tuesday. The semi-official Tasnim news agency said a 'hostile projectile' hit the area of the nuclear facility.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization reported that no financial, technical, or human damage was observed, and the plant remained unaffected by the incident. The organization emphasized that the strike violates international regulations prohibiting military attacks on nuclear facilities and warned of potential severe consequences for the wider region, including the Gulf.

The incident occurs amid an ongoing joint offensive by the US and Israel against Iran, which began on February 28. The offensive has resulted in approximately 1,300 casualties, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries. These retaliatory measures are claimed by Iran to be targeting 'US military assets,' leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
