Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended a personal invitation to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to visit Russia again in May and July this year. The invitation comes on the heels of discussions held at the Kremlin, as reported on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, who uses a single name, confirmed that the invitation was presented during President Prabowo's visit to Moscow on Monday. Sugiono noted in a video message from the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta that President Putin invited his Indonesian counterpart to attend an event in May in Kazan and a significant industry exhibition in July.

The events in question are likely the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: Kazan Forum," set to occur alongside the Kazan Expo in Kazan City, Tatarstan, from May 12 to 17, and the International Innovation Industry Expo 2026 in Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk, from July 6 to 9.

The Kremlin indicated that during the talks in Moscow, both presidents outlined key areas for cooperation, including energy, agriculture, and industry, while also emphasizing the importance of culture and education. President Putin expressed hope that President Subianto's visit would contribute to sustaining growth in bilateral trade.

In addition to these discussions, both leaders agreed to enhance collaboration in the fields of economics, space, and pharmaceuticals, as reported by Antara.
