Silverstone: Raul Fernandez clinched victory at the British MotoGP on Sunday, recovering impressively from a fall in Saturday's Sprint to secure his first Grand Prix win of the season. Jorge Martin finished in second place, further extending his lead in the MotoGP championship standings.

According to Anadolu Agency, this victory marks Fernandez's second career win in MotoGP, following his previous success at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. The Trackhouse rider, who began the race in second position, swiftly took control at the opening corner and maintained his lead throughout the 20-lap race, finishing approximately 2.5 seconds ahead of Martin.

Initially starting from pole position, Martin faced a technical issue that saw him drop to fourth. Nonetheless, he managed to regain his composure, overtaking both Marc Marquez and Aprilia teammate Marco Bezzecchi to claim second place. Bezzecchi, having recently returned from injuries sustained at the German Grand Prix, secured third place, narrowly holding off Alex Marquez in the final laps.

The race had significant implications for the championship standings. Martin's second-place finish awarded him 20 points, bringing his total to 240 and solidifying a 31-point lead in the championship. Bezzecchi's third-place finish earned him 16 points, moving him to second in the standings with 209 points. Ai Ogura, who started the race in third on the grid and was second in the standings with 203 points, faced a setback after crashing midway through the race, dropping to third in the championship.

Marc Marquez, the reigning champion, experienced a challenging race. Despite a strong start from sixth to third, he ultimately finished in seventh place, earning nine points and maintaining his fourth position in the standings with 200 points. Fabio Di Giannantonio, who finished sixth, secured 10 points and retained his fifth position in the championship with 199 points.

The British MotoGP race results were as follows: Raul Fernandez in first, followed by Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Notably, Ai Ogura, Francesco Bagnaia, Cal Crutchlow, Iker Lecuona, Enea Bastianini, Alex Rins, and Joan Mir were unable to finish the race.
