Madrid:Real Madrid has reached an agreement with Turkish midfielder Arda Guler to extend his contract until 2031. This agreement marks an extension from his current contract, which was set to expire in 2029.
According to Anadolu Agency, this is Guler's first contract renewal since joining Real Madrid. The extension not only secures his stay with the club for at least another five years but also includes a salary increase, reflecting his growing importance in the team.
Following the reports of the contract extension, the German football database website Transfermarkt updated Guler's market value to £100 million ($112 million) from £90 million ($100.8 million). Guler has been a key player this season, starting five matches under Jose Mourinho's management.
Last season, the Turkish international made a significant impact by starting in 40 matches, scoring six goals, and providing a team-high 14 assists. Guler, who joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in 2023, is currently in his fourth season with the club.
