Beirut: Two Israeli soldiers were injured Sunday in a rocket attack targeting Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon, according to the army. In a statement, the Israeli army reported that one soldier sustained moderate injuries while another was lightly wounded.

According to Anadolu Agency, the injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for treatment. Details regarding the specific location of the incident remain undisclosed by the army. Official Israeli army figures indicate that since the escalation began, 1,302 soldiers have been injured and 31 others, including officers, have been killed.

The Israeli military has been conducting a bombing campaign on Lebanon since March 2, occupying several towns in the country's southern region. Lebanese officials report that the Israeli attacks have resulted in nearly 3,800 deaths, injured 11,700 people, and displaced over 1.5 million individuals.
