According to the Cyprus Football Association, Romania scored at 16', 25' (penalty) and 35', making it very difficult for Sofronis Avgousti's team to make a comeback. In the second half of the match, Cyprus created some chances but the score remained unchanged until the end, with the first half's mistakes determining the result.
