Russia and China Enhance Legal Collaboration with New Memorandum

Beijing: The Russian Prosecutor General's Office announced that its chief, Alexander Gutsan, and Chinese Justice Minister He Rong have signed a memorandum aimed at deepening the legal cooperation between their countries. The signing ceremony took place in Beijing following a meeting between the two officials, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral contacts and establishing direct communication channels.

According to Anadolu Agency, the memorandum provides for the exchange of information on a broad range of issues, as well as plans for mutual visits, consultations, and joint research initiatives. The agreement aims to enhance effective collaboration through existing mechanisms and to coordinate actions on multilateral international platforms.

Gutsan proposed developing a joint cooperation program as a next step to combine efforts in key areas such as combating transnational crime, digitalization in law enforcement, and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies. He also expressed confidence in involving departmental educational institutions and leveraging their research capabilities to achieve significant results.
