Moscow: Russia claimed on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump is 'not being informed enough' about the Ukraine war and the developments taking place in this context.

According to Anadolu Agency, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov expressed concerns during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, suggesting that Trump may not be fully aware of the realities on the ground in the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation. Ryabkov stated, "Trump says a lot of things. We, naturally, read and follow all of this. But in many ways, we come to the conclusion that Trump is not being sufficiently informed about what is really happening in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation."

Ryabkov's comments followed Trump's recent warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin had "gone absolutely CRAZY" and was "playing with fire" after a series of Russian strikes on Ukraine. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, responded to Trump's statements on X, emphasizing the grave consequences of escalating tensions, hinting at the specter of World War III.

Ryabkov further asserted that Trump is particularly uninformed about Ukrainian strikes on Russian cities, labeling these as 'terrorist attacks.' He claimed that the US president is only apprised of the subsequent Russian countermeasures. Moreover, Ryabkov insisted that Trump does not fully grasp that Russian strikes are aimed exclusively at Ukrainian military infrastructure or military-industrial complex facilities.

In related developments, the Russian Defense Ministry reported intercepting 296 Ukrainian drones overnight. In contrast, Ukraine's Air Force claimed on Telegram that they downed 71 out of 88 drones launched by Moscow.

US authorities have yet to comment on Ryabkov's remarks. Meanwhile, the diplomatic efforts between Trump and Putin have not yielded a ceasefire in Ukraine, despite their earlier agreement to initiate talks and prepare a memorandum for a potential settlement.
