Russia Denies Receiving Any US Communication on Ukraine ‘Agreements’

Moscow: Russia has not received any information from the US through official channels regarding alleged 'agreements' on Ukraine mentioned in recent media reports, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday. In an interview with Russian state news agency TASS, Zakharova emphasized the importance of relying on official communication channels rather than media narratives for discussions and negotiations on international issues.

According to Anadolu Agency, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin envoy Kirill Dmitriev reportedly met in Miami late last month to discuss a framework to end the war in Ukraine. However, Zakharova stated that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not received any information from the American side in this context. The Kremlin also reiterated that its stance on a potential Ukraine peace agreement remains unchanged since President Vladimir Putin's meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska in August.
